God's Women of Wisdom Ministry

First of all, I want to express my gratitude to God, my Father, who has always been a constant presence.

 

Before my husband and I became pastors, we were regular attendees of Victory Church in Omaha, NE. At one point, our pastor, Joe Laughlin, had new carpet installed in the main church auditorium, and the services were temporarily held on the church’s lower level. It was during one of these services that I had a vision.

 

Suddenly, everything around me disappeared, and I found myself kneeling in front of one of the ladies I served alongside on the worship team. I had a towel over my shoulder and a pail of water in front of me, and I was washing her feet. At that moment, I was puzzled, and my mind was thinking, “What is happening here...?” However, the Spirit spoke to me and made it clear that I had a special calling to serve women.

Over the years, as I continued to seek God for my call to women, He visited me in a dream and instructed me to start a nonprofit organization called Women of Wisdom, Inc. This was outside of my comfort zone, but because I felt compelled to obey His command, I went forward with it. After several years of seeking His guidance regarding God's Women, He told me, "I never said you could not do it." I understood that He was giving me permission to proceed.

 

As I continued to seek Him, He directed me to create a logo, indicating that the time had come to move forward. I realized that this initiative would begin as an annual women's conference, centered around the glory of God, which is the topic He first started teaching me about.

 

There is much more to the story, of course, but this will suffice for now. So here it is, over twenty years later, and I can truly say with confidence that I am here for you!
